Intent
The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism aims to provide a broad educational base for further training, education and employment within the Travel sector. The qualifications will develop learners’ abilities through the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the programme.
Key areas of focus are developing student knowledge with a contextual lens. Focus on developing the student as a 'whole' where attention within the curriculum is given to development of skills, conceptual thinking and the expansion of cultural capital and subject content. At Oxted School students develop an awareness that business permeate through all aspects of their lives such as their career, social lives and hobbies and equip students with the knowledge and skills to become economically responsible citizens who contribute to the local community.
