If there is something that a member of staff at Oxted School has done which you are happy with,
please do let them know (thankstaff@oxted.thpt.org.uk)
Report a Student Absence
To report a student absence please telephone the attendance line 01883 718707 by 9.00am or as soon as possible thereafter, or email to attendance@oxted.thpt.org.uk on each day of absenceMeasles, Chicken Pox or Shingles
We ask for your cooperation in an important matter concerning the health of one of our students at the school, who is currently receiving medical treatment. This treatment means that their immune system is low which puts their health at risk if they are exposed to measles, chicken pox or shingles.
Please let us know immediately if your child is suspected of having measles, chicken pox or shingles. This is so that we can inform the student’s family straight away for their child to receive medication quickly.
There is no risk for your own child from this situation. However, the health and wellbeing of our student undergoing treatment is at risk, so we hope you can help us with your cooperation and commitment in making sure that we are told as soon possible.

Attendance
The vast majority of students have made an excellent start this year and we are delighted that most students’ attendance is looking very positive. We would like to take this opportunity to remind parents of the importance of attendance at school and remind you to please telephone the school to alert us to your child’s absence for every day that they are off. Any days which are not accounted for by you (via telephone or email) will be counted as unauthorised absence.
As per Surrey County Council guidance, we will also issue fixed penalty notices (which can lead to fixed penalty fines) for extended periods of unauthorised absence.
If you have any queries regarding attendance at Oxted School, please do contact our attendance team (attendance@oxted.thpt.org.uk).

- If you have incurred a penalty notice relating to this child/children since 19 August 2024, the rolling 3-year period will be activated from the date of the first penalty notice and the second penalty notice will be charged at the flat rate of £160.00, per parent/carer per child, if paid within 28 days.
