Royal Navy Engagement Team visit Oxted School
For the first time, Oxted School had the thrilling opportunity to host Louise and Andy from the Royal Navy Engagement Team. Students from Years 7 to 10 began the day with an invigorating physical challenge.
Students were divided into small groups and given an engaging, hands-on task: using the equipment provided, they had to design and build a moving vehicle capable of transporting a large bag across the gym. This activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, skills crucial to life in the Royal Navy. The top-performing teams earned extra House points for their effort and innovation.
In the afternoon, our guests hosted an open presentation for all registered students. They shared insights into the wide variety of roles available within the Navy and emphasised the many benefits of joining this prestigious branch of the armed forces.
