Honouring Excellence - Maths Prize

We were delighted to welcome Anthony Gordon from the Caterham, Oxted and Godstone Lions Club, along with Mr Stodart, Head of Maths, to present the bursary, funded by the Lions Club, to former Sixth Form student Bella.

The Dr Arthur Sambles’ Memorial Prize, a prestigious bursary established in memory of Dr Sambles, a dedicated member of the Caterham, Oxted, and Godstone Lions Club. Dr Sambles, who passed away in 2008, was a PhD in Mathematics and an IT specialist.

This bursary is awarded to a Sixth Form student who will pursue a Mathematics-related degree. It stands as a testament to Dr Sambles' passion for education and his commitment to nurturing future mathematicians and IT specialists.
